Paper is one of the first things we are given to play with as children. We seem compelled to do something with it, paint it, cover it with words, doodle or make paper planes. The first recorded folded paper models were made in China. When you realize that Chinese invented paper in the first place, it is not really surprising.
The Japanese invented the art in the 8th century and has made its way across the globe.
This workshop will guide you how to fold beautiful paper models - the fascinating, almost magical art of Origami. Engage in making simple paper sculptures to marvellous flapping birds.
Shashi is a Hyderabad based Origami artist who has mastered the art of Origami and has created many new models using a single piece of paper.
